It will never last!

This is what everybody says to me once I announce my yearly diet promise to get me back into shape ready for my next holiday.

It starts off with me saying I’ll start it as soon as all the Christmas and New year treats have gone. The trouble is we over buy festive goodies so much so we are still eating our way through them until March. With so much temptation behind every cupboard, how can I possibly look at dieting?! Before you know it, it’s Easter and I’m tucking into a chocolate egg telling myself once again that when all of the holiday goodies are gone, I’ll try again.

Now our family holiday this year is at the end of May. This doesn’t really leave me with much time to turn myself into the beach ready Adonis I promised myself I would be, when I declared in the new year that I was going to cut the calories.

So this year I will more then likely grace the sandy beaches of Greece sporting my loveable, huggable ‘dad bod’ with pride and tell myself that I will definitely do it next year.
