Your Anthem Carriage Awaits

It took 7 long hours at the Mayer Werft Shipyard on Saturday the 21st February . Many problems were encountered including issues with the unhooking of the buoys from the dockside and actually being stuck but finally Anthem Of The Seas was unleashed and made her debut to the world. I have to say I myself watched and waited for the duration and wow she was worth the wait .

A day in brief……….

Some amazing pictures to reveal what we have been waiting for . After moving Norwegian Escape out of the way Anthem was now available to view.

Remember this photo of Anthem on the day of the Quantum Float out last year, wow Anthem was just two blocks herself then and now look at her.

Finally as dusk falls our first glimpse.

It’s been 6 hours now since the start of the float out and as you can see with various technical issues it was now dark and pouring with rain before the little tug boat finally attached herself to the 167,000 ton super liner and pulled her out. Beggars belief for the little tug boat working her magic .

Finally she was out looking great and was a great moment for many of us.

Good Morning Anthem. As a new day dawns and in all her glory, today is the day her North Star is fitted.

What a gorgeous morning Anthem!

No pink bear, rumour has it that Anthem will also possibly have some kind of animal art on board, A Giraffe has been mentioned and some say a yellow duck. Well I guess we will have to wait and see but I am sure whether their is or isn’t, it won’t have any impact of the thousands of passengers already booked on her this summer.

It’s going to be another long day in  Germany Mayer Werft today as her North Star is fitted

With only a few weeks to go before her maiden voyage the industry, media and of course passengers wait with excitement for the first glimpse of her in Southampton. Want to know more? Then look no further, click on this link Anthem of the Seas for all the latest Anthem of the Seas gossip.
