A standing Ovation for Seabourn

Well it may be a standing Ovation for Seabourn but how do Royal Caribbean feel about Seabourn naming their latest addition the same as their own. Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas is due to be launched in 2016 followed by Seabourn’s Ovation to be launched in 2018. Confusing do you think or a real scoop for Seabourn to follow in the footsteps of Royal Caribbean, one of the biggest cruise lines of our time.  It has certainly caught the medias attention so maybe that is what Seabourn wanted. Lets hope the itineraries are different though.

So what will Ovation be like ? Well she will mirror her sister ship Seabourn Encore, who will debut in 2016 and will be excitingly innovative and more luxurious from any other in their fleet. Between the two of them they will be a force to be reckoned with as they will deliver many new concepts and with new vision,  delight even the world’s most discerning passenger.

The Encore and Ovation will feature new design elements not seen on others in their fleet an which will only normally be found on private Yachts, this is down to one of the finest designers of our time, a gentleman who is renowned for designing the ultimate in fine dining restaurants, hotel resorts and spas worldwide and has made quite a name for himself. Welcome Mr Adam T. Tihany.

At the moment its early days and I guess as time goes on Seabourn will release more intimate details of how Mr Tihany will bring these two most stunning ships to life.  With the Seven Seas Explorer being a sell out of her maiden voyage in just two hours will Seabourn be able to mirror the adoration that the Explorer seems to have captured.

We will wait and see but in the meantime , I wonder if Royal Caribbean will be slightly disturbed by the hi-jacking of the name Ovation!

Cheers

Holly
