Carnivals special return to Europe in 2016

If you are a great fan of Carnival Cruises then you will be pleased to hear of their latest announcement that they will be coming back to Europe in 2016, bigger and better than ever as this time 2016 will showcase their brand new 3954 passenger ship Carnival Vista . I have to say that she is looking great and will be a class act whilst sailing around the Mediterranean throughout the summer. Her maiden voyage will be a 13 night sailing departing from Trieste in Italy and throughout the summer will be calling at Eastern and Western Mediterranean ports before her transatlantic sailing back to New York on 21st October 2016

So has Europe missed out on all the fun of a Carnival Fun Ship these last two years , well it certainly looks that way . So what exciting new features can we see from the latest innovation from Carnival.  Having sailed on the Carnival Sunshine in 2013 in the med my expectations are high

Well it looks like they haven’t disappointed us , introducing SKYRIDE , this will be an industry first and as long as your not afraid of heights this is something passengers of all ages are gonna love . Just imagine cycling a pedal powered bike in the air around an 800 foot suspended track a 150 feet above the sea , and if that isn’t enough adding another track will allow family and friends to race each other. Let the games begin I say. If you have been on the Carnival Sunshine  they have two water slides that go head to head with each other and  you can race family and friends but I have to say the SKYRIDE is possibly in a different league when it comes to the latest adrenalin rush.

If you wanted some indoor fun then another first at sea comes IMAX , a screen three decks high where you will be able to watch the latest Hollywood Blockbusters , classics and documentaries , there will be a tiered fee but cheaper than on land so we have been told. For me though what excites me is the  THRILL THEATRE , if you have been on CArnival Breeze you will already be aware of the multi-dimensional special effects experience with 3-D images and your seats that move with the movies action sequences. I experienced something similar in Universal Studios and was great something completely different and I guess fun which cruising on a Carnival ship is renowned for.

So anything new for staterooms on Visa, yes they have announced HAVANA CABANAS , which will have a private patio that leads out onto the promenade fro easy access to Havana Bar and pool , if that isn’t enough having your own hammock to relax the afternoon away in the sun sounds absolute bliss to me . The HAVANA CABINS have exclusive access to the Havana pool during the day as it only opens to the public at night. Great idea for some perfect R&R. Offering family fun Carnival has really put family’s first by introducing FAMILY HARBOR CABINS , thank you carnival for offering cabins that will accommodate a family of 5 across every stateroom level.

I will be featuring more and more updates on Carnival Vista as time  goes on but to wet your appetite what do you think so far, I think with so many innovations brought to us by Royal Caribbean, MSC and Norwegian , Carnival really needed to pull something out of the bag and if your into gimmicks and industry firsts then I think the Vista will definitely float your boat!!
