Blown away by Breakaway!

So this week I was one of hundreds of lucky agents to board the brand new NCL Norwegian Breakaway! We are buzzing about Norwegian Cruise Line‘s newest ship, the Norwegian Breakaway and for good reason. The 4,028-passenger vessel, in my opinion is no doubt one of the most spectacular mega-resorts at sea. I have only been on one other NCL ship and that was the Norwegian Pearl, a good few years ago but think it won’t be long before I’m back on board. Honestly I could have quite happily been a stowaway on the Breakaway! The x-factor for me had to be the Aqua Park, my two young sons could enjoy all day every day, until they wrinkle if we were to holiday on this ship. With Seventeen decks above the sea, ocean views all around , five multi-story waterslides, two swimming pools, four hot tubs…more than ever before! I may be 37, but honestly who is ever too old for water slides?!

Another HUGE favourite of mine was the Teppanyaki restaurant. We were literally sizzling with excitement, watching flying shrimp and the unmistakable sound of the chefs knives this hibachi-style dinner and show is a firm favourite, this one is NCL’s  largest Teppanyaki at sea. The cover charge is $25 per person and in my opinion worth every cent, its dinner and show in one, it’s almost impossible to take your eyes off the chefs! I ordered something called Land and Sea , it was steak and shrimps, please don’t tell my wife but it was the best steak I’ve ever tasted!

When I eventually gave into my bed for the evening (maybe early hours of the next morning- honestly all done with you in mind…I had to properly explore this ship and its numerous bars) , I had an oceanview stateroom with large picture window on deck 5. Oceanview staterooms feature a large picture window. They include two lower beds that convert to a queen-size bed, bathroom with shower, spacious wardrobe, and vanity, approx. 172 sq ft. Plenty of room , nice and light a good choice.

To give you an idea of the size of these cruise ships, I travelled down to Southampton with a colleague and we queued to board at the same time, we got separated and didn’t see each other again for 24 hours! These ships really are floating resorts and have to be seen to be believed, I could talk all day about the Breakaway, so if you are interested in checking any availability or have any questions, just give me a call on 0800 408 6107, or of course email me on [email protected]
