Nervous about promotion…..

Although my first great love is Cruising …..my second is football, my beloved Cardiff City to be precise! I’m thinking maybe I should have put my wife and children in here somewhere but they will understand! I’m slightly distracted today as tonight we stand on the verge of promotion to the richest and biggest football league in
the world! On this day in 1960: Cardiff City win promotion to the top flight…53 years later I truly believe we could do it again!

My Bluebirds face Charlton Athletic at Cardiff City Stadium this evening needing just a point to be promoted. There have been a lot of tough times at the club and a lot of people have supported and worked for the club. Cardiff were relegated to the old Division Three in 2001 and have endured two changes of ownership, debt, financial difficulties and winding up orders, but now stand on the verge of promotion to the Premier League for the first time in their history.

It would mean a lot if we do this tonight, my dad played for them many years ago , I remember as a child being sat next to goal post while he practiced! Now me , my dad , my sons, my brother and nephew go as often as possible.  The atmosphere at tonight’s game is going to be fantastic! Well we are all going tonight….WISH US LUCK!
