Can I Smoke at Sea?

I am not a smoker so this doesn’t really affect me, however I do have many calls of people asking where they can smoke onboard the ship.  This can make a big difference to which ship and what cabins passengers go for.  Here is a guide to where you can smoke onboard some of the cruise lines.

P&O
With P&O you can’t smoke in any cabins only on the balcony.  There are specially designated areas on the open decks.  You can’t smoke in indoor areas unless designated.

Cunard
With Cunard you can’t smoke in the cabin only on the balcony.  There are designated areas on the open deck and there is also a Cigar Lounge which is for cigars only.

Princess

With Princess you can’t smoke in any cabin only on a balcony.  There will be areas on the open deck you can’t smoke inside the ship.
NCL
With NCL you can smoke both in your cabin and on your balcony.  There will be areas on the open deck and there are casinos, cigar bars and lounges for smoking.
Fred Olsen

You can’t smoke in the cabins onboard Fred Olsen only on a balcony.  There will be designated area on open deck only.  You can’t smoke anywhere inside the ship.

Celebrity
With Celebrity you can’t smoke in any cabin or on the balcony.  There will be designated areas inside and outside the ship.

MSC

MSC don’t let you smoke in any cabin or on any balcony.  There will be designated areas
Royal Caribbean
You can’t smoke in your cabin only on a balcony.  There will be outdoor areas on one side of the ship.
