New Ships at Sea 2011

I had written a blog previously on ships that launched 2010 so thought would update you on ships launching in 2011.  There are not as many ships launching this year as there was last year.

Costa Favolosa

Will be the latest addition to the Italian company Costa Cruises which will launch July 2011.
The ship will be 114,500 gross tons and will hold passenger capacity of 3,780.

Celebrity Silhouette-
Celebrity Cruises will debut their new solstice class ship on 23rd July 2011.  The ship will be 122,000 tons and holds 2884 passengers.  The ship will be the fourth in the new solstice class of ship.

Disney Dream –

The first sailing for the Disney Dream is the 26th January 2011.  This will be Disney’s largest cruise ship at 128,000 tons and carrying 4,000 passengers,  The homeport for this ship will be Port Canaveral.

Carnival Magic –
Carnival cruises will be launching their second dream class cruise ship which is their largest class of ship at 130,000 tons and holding more than 4,000 passengers.  She will be launching in May 2011

Seabourn Quest –

Yachts of Seabourn will debut the Quest in June 2011.  The ship will be 32,000 tons and will have 225 ocean view suites.

Oceania Mariner –
Oceania Cruises latest addition to their fleet launched January 2011.  The ship is 65,000 tons and holds 1,258 passengers.

    Marina becomes the largest ship in the Oceania fleet when she sets sail in January. Nine dining venues four of which are open-seating gourmet restaurants. Spacious suites and staterooms furnished by Ralph Lauren Home. A Lalique glass grand stairway is the centerpiece. Thanks a lot!
