Winter is Coming… What are your Cruise plans for 2020/2021 ?

So already when I get enquiries for a Summer Cruise Date I have to ask did you want THIS YEAR or NEXT YEAR… and very soon we will be able to book for not only a last minute Winter (Spring) Break in 2019, 2020 and yes even 2021..

With the first of the Cruise lines announcing their forthcoming Launch dates for their Winter 2020/2021 programmes to cover the all important peak Christmas & New Year sailings of 2020 and  even taking in some Easter 2021 Holiday dates.

Today I wanted to focus on the BIGGEST news with regard to P&O Cruises NEWEST ship to the fleet – IONA –  is going to actually stay as Southampton as her home port for her first Winter Season which is huge news – unlike the Brittania & Azura which have in previous Winter seasons headed over to the Caribbean.  This will be fantastic to have a large ship sailing from Southampton during these peak times when availability & choice can get very limited.  The launch sailings for Iona’s maiden summer season in 2020 were a huge success and I expect her first Winter Season to be a very popular choice, especially for those that would love to sail on this new ship but don’t want the Norwegian Fjords in the Summer.

Her itineraries will be a mix of 7 and 14 nights, with all departures on a Saturday – so nice and easy for those that do have to fit around fixed working week.

They will be made up of a combination of:

Spain & Portugal:

Alicante, Barcelona, Cadiz, Gibraltar, Lisbon, Malaga, Valencia  & Vigo

Spain, Portugal & the Canary Islands: 

Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote & Tenerife – giving you some fantastic winter sunshine and beautiful beach opportunities, combined with Funchal on Madeira and some of the lovely mainland Spain & Portugal ports of call.

Northern European Cities : 

Zeebrugge – for a trip to Bruges, the home of lace, Chocolate & Beer; Hamburg & Rotterdam – A beautiful city in itself but also the opportunity to take the short hop to Amsterdam.

So get your 2020/2021 Calendar out and let me know of your plans – Do you have a special occasion during this time ?
