I was definitely Amazed…

Well I went prepared to be amazed and I definitely was…. What a truly beautiful ship the Azamara Quest is and her makeover has only made her even more so.

The Quest

With a new neutral colour palette, change in layout to the embarkation foyer area including guest services, land discoveries and the Loyalty & Sales desk now in a more private area behind an amazing electronic video wall.   This touch screen display is great and allows you to not only see more about the itinerary that you are currently sailing but also to select any port that you would like to visit in the future and it will show you Azamara Itineraries that are sailing there – to then be able to book on board to get yourselves the best deal and to rest assured that this will come back to me as your original booking agent to continue to look after you.

They have also re-positioned the Swarovski Crystal shop that was in the foyer area to close to the Indulgences shop on the next floor.  The other main change is they have made the actual Casino area smaller but within that space incorporated a bar & seating area for you to make full use of your Included drinks package.  The Included drinks list is very extensive and you couldn’t help to be impressed by it… however for the premium brands & top shelf drinkers they do offer additional per day add-on rates so that everything is covered.

As I was on board whilst passengers were embarking at Southampton it gave me the opportunity to see how smoothly this works with such a small ship:  no huge queues at Check-in, guests greeted as they embark with a glass of Champagne (or alternative drink) and then allowed to relax straight away in to their cruise experience safe in the knowledge that when they do go to their Cabin their cases will have been placed there for them. Sadly because the ship was going to be sailing full we were therefore unable to look at any cabins, but I must say from what we did see of the public areas they have done a wonderful job of her makeover… the only part that they didn’t do anything to was the main cabaret show area which i did feel could use some slight improvement…
