I am back from Turkey!

I recently booked a last minute break away with my family to Marmaris in Turkey. I have been to the area a few times but the last time was around 7 years ago!

We travelled with Thomson from East Midlands airport, for some reason many flights to Turkey are evening flights which I have to say I am not a fan of! But needs must!

We stayed in an all inclusive property called club alize which was fantastic, great food, rooms, pool scene the only let down was entertainment but generally i find entertainment in all inclusive is never the best, my advice is always make your own entertainment!

Marmaris is a busy resort, lots of bars, restaurants and shops. the promenade running along the front is definitely my favourite area as its to clean, where as some of the back road can look a little grubby!

We headed out every day into Marmaris to explore and maybe take part in a spot of shopping!

The Thomson Celebration is based out of Marmaris every Monday, so like the cruise geek that I am when Monday came around I was eager to spot the Celebration docked in the port and I have to say she looked tiny! I guess compared to some of the giant liners i have cruise on recently it made her look even smaller, but i wasn’t expecting so small!

We had a great last minute break and I would definitely recommend Turkey as a holiday destination or a port of call on your next cruise!
