Amazing Allure of the Seas – Labadee

Out first port of call was Labadee, Haiti, this is one of Royal Caribbean’s private islands as they call it , not that it is an island just a part of an island! I have never been to Labadee so had no idea what to expect and to be honest it wasn’t somewhere I was particularly excited to visit but how wrong was I! This was my favourite port of the whole itinerary! Labadee is very lush and green, it isn’t somewhere to visit if you are after history or sightseeing but if you enjoy the beach and activities this is the one for you! We disembarked in the morning, no queues at all and unfortunately it was cloudy and drizzly but the sun soon came out. when you disembark there are huge signs with arrows pointing to where you want to go, there’s the beach, a small waterpark in the sea which is made up of inflatables, there is a zip line, jet skis and a waterslide. We headed over to the area of the beach where the small waterpark is located and set up for the day. There is no extra charge for sunbeds. Royal Caribbean have beach bars set up where you can use your sea pass and a buffet bbq restaurant area for your lunch so no need to take any cash with you, everything is included which I thought was fantastic! You will need cash for the local trinket shops, and the activities such as the waterpark and zip line can be pre booked onboard. We went swimming in the sea, sunbathed, ate and drank which is my perfect day! If you love a beach excursion, which is free then this will be your favourite port of call!
