My Amazing trip on the Allure of the Seas Part 2!

Following on from my recent blog which highlighted my first day onboard the Allure of the Seas I wanted to tell you more about the rest of my week onboard this truly amazing ship!

I wish we had time to visit all of the various dining venues onboard but I think you would need around a month onboard to do this as there are so many options!

We ate in the main dining room Adagio most evenings but we also tried 2 speciality restaurants, Giovanni’s table which is an Italian themed restaurant with a cover charge of approx $20 per person this then gives you access to their full menu, as we were with such a large group they decided to give us a tapas style selection of the starters so that we could get a full feel of the options, the scallops were definitely my favourite! You can then have a pasta dish if you wish, and then a main course, the food in here is divine and I would say was my favourite evening meal whilst onboard definitely worth paying the surcharge to dine in here.
Giovanni’s Table;

The second speciality restaurant we ate in was Ritas Cantina, this is a more relaxed Mexican themed restaurant, you pay $3 plus then a per dish price of the menu, we skipped the starter and went for the mixed fajitas to share for only $5.95 for 2 people so again a great price and more than enough for 2 people as we couldn’t finish the dish!
Ritas Cantina;

We also tried out Johnny Rockets for lunch, I have heard so many great reports I couldn’t go onboard and not try this American style diner! The cover charge is $4.99 and you can choose from a variety of burgers, sandwiches, chilli fries, desserts and more! Again the waitress was so surprised that neither of us could finish our meal there was just so much food! And a little tip the milkshakes are to die for in here!
Johnny Rockets;

We dined in the Windjammer for breakfast and lunch , again plenty of choice on dishes and what I was surprised at was you could always get a table even if they were a little busy what they would do is actually take you to an available table to no wandering around for hours waiting for a table to become free.

The Garden cafe in central park was my favourite jaunt for lunch, with roast beef sandwiches, fresh salads, homemade cookies and more, very tranquil area and healthy options too.

All together there are 25 dining choices onboard, it would be impossible to get around all of these!

Throughout the rest of the week we also took advantage of the great entertainment onboard and went to watch Chicago, which is a full length west end production, if you are into musicals this is not to be missed!
Chicago;

Also Blue planet production, which is based on the world with an underwater theme, sun theme, tree theme and more, this one’s hard to explain you really have to see it to understand what a great production this is!
Blue Palnet;

The game shows onboard are a blast, whether you like to get involved or just sit back and laugh at the passengers who are taking part! We went to watch Quest game show, these are adult game shows and held late on the evening, contestants had to ‘fetch’ whatever object was requested by the host to gain points!

Also the ice show held on the indoor ice rink , this was based on a monopoly theme around the ship, so they had a boardwalk part of the show, Giovanni’s table and more, very clever!
Ice Show;

Most evenings we would head for a pre drink before dinner which varied, the rising tide bar which elevates between the promenade deck and central park, Air the sports bar, Champagne bar and boleros, and later on the evening we would normally head down to the nightclub onboard for a boogie before bed!

And if your into activities the choices are endless, the zip wire you are required to wear socks and trainers so don’t forget these, the rock climbing wall again you need socks and trainers for this, there’s a carrousel open at certain times throughout the day, flow rider surf machine and the sports court with activities throughout the day.

I could talk forever about this amazing ship there is so such to do, so much to see and I think its absolutely fantastic value for what you have included I would 100% travel onboard the Allure of the Seas or her sister ship the Oasis of the seas for my own holidays in the future.

Look out for my next post about the ports of call we visited!
