If the kids are happy, you’re happy!!

Picking the right ship and itinerary is fundamental when choosing a cruise that keeps the whole family happy. As a parent the choice of ship would probably come first over the itinerary.  Depending on how active your children are really depends on the ship. I know when looking through he brochures with my two the Anthem of the Seas jumps out by miles. In the mind of an 11 year old and 7 year old when turning the pages you can see the excitement  build as I show them pictures of the Seaplex, the largest indoor active space at sea including the first ever dodgem’s at sea.

The list of activities go on and on, so how do other cruise companies compare? P&O for example have fantastic kids clubs that suit all age groups. They may not have the FloRider or the Ripcord, but then perhaps this isn’t for everyone. With four different age groups ranging from 2-17 year olds there is something for everyone. Although P&O kids facilities are mostly club based there’s never a dull moment. Activities range from a variety of sports, board games, consoles and discos.

But if its more outdoor entertainment you’re after I personally think Norwegian Cruise Line’s are up there with the best. Their outdoor pools feature tubes and shoots galore. It’s hard to imagine you’re on a ship and not at a water park!
