Britannia Blues

The anticipated wait of the arrival of Britannia is finally over. But with it there is distant murmuring of disappointment. She has been on her maiden voyage and from recent reviews it doesn’t seem to have been 100% success. Like all things you can’t please everyone, however  from speaking to lot’s of people who have sailed her the same complaints keep rearing their ugly head.

The main factor being The Headliners Theatre. For many due to the size of it they were only able to get to see one show during the whole cruise as it wasn’t big enough, some weren’t even this lucky. People were finding if they were on the late sitting for dinner chances are they wouldn’t get to see the show at all as you had to que 45 minutes before the show began to get a seat.

The second complaint I keep hearing over, is that the main lifts were broken. In the mid lift section there were no stairs to use as an alternative. Perhaps the design should have been thought out more, a ship of this size should have lifts or stairs in the middle of the deck. Now for a new ship you think for its maiden voyage it would be in full working order. These are the sort of things that stay with people and pass on.

Taking this all into consideration it hasn’t put me off and I look forward to sail on her hopefully in the near future. How about you?
