In all the year;s I have worked in the Travel Industry The Galapagos Islands have never been a destination I was ever asked  to check availabilty and prices until this week. I learnt that it is an all year round destination and if you what to get near to nature then this is the place to visit. In January you can watch the Turtles lay their eggs on the beach. In May the Penguins begin to play and in June the Humpback whale arrive- how amazing would that be see with your own eyes. In August the Sea Lions will be having pups and finally in November Giant Tortoises’s eggs begin too hatch. The Galapagos’ wildlife is some of the most diverse and incredible in the world. Where else in the world can you see the Giant Tortoise roaming wild or the only lizards in the world that can swim. There are so many species that only exist on these islands.

The islands really is an all year round destination to visit, with the temperature never dropping below 19 celscius. The beaches , jungle and exotic climate make it a tropical paradise. The Galapagos are made of 13 islands and only 5 are inhabited .  The best way to explore is by cruise, taking you around usually on a 7 night itinerary either sailing the inner or outer ring. Choosing between the luxury liners of Celebrity Xpedition and Silversea Galapagos which are based out there all year round, these top end cruises mean you will explore in style.

The island are strictly protected so any expedition taken will be accompanied by a local tour guide so this means you will learn about fauna and flora from someone who genuinely passionate and knows the area.

Many of the islands offer facilities to learn to dive or snorkel, so you can explore the islands from the water as well as the land.

This really is a bucket list destination and a once in a life time adventure.
