MSC Super Enhanced Ship Homeporting in Southampton    

It has recently been announced that MSC Cruises will be Refurbishing and Lengthening one of its ships and Homeporting in Southampton for Summer 2021

For the first time, MSC will base the new Super Enhanced ship out of the UK for a full sailing season, following the Success of MSC Magnifica earlier this year. The Itineraries on other will be Baltic Capitals, Norwegian Fjords, North Cape and Southbound Destinations.

“It’s the very first time we will have taken 100% commitment of a ship for the UK market.” Says Antonio Paradiso, Managing Director for UK & Ireland, he also hinted at partnerships with ‘Exciting British Brands’ and the Ship will be adapted to meet the needs of the British market.

2019 & 2020 Summer season will see MSC Preziosa offering sailings from Southampton, she will come complete with the ‘Ship within a ship’ Yacht Club, British onboard Staff, British Cuisine and even Yorkshire Tea!

Southampton will also host the Christening of MSC’s newest ship Bellissima in March 2019, the Biggest ever ship to be christened in the UK, Following her Maiden Voyage she will then complete her inaugural season in the Mediterranean, Offering 20 Bars, 10 restaurants, a Grand Canyon themed waterpark, also a full-size bowling alley, F1 simulators and two brand new Cirque at Sea Shows exclusively created for MSC.

Currently MSC have 17 Ships, however, by 2026 they will have a total of 25 offering cruising opportunities to 5 million passengers annually. MSC Grandiosa will be the first mega class ship for MSC with a capacity of 6334 Passengers.
