Expedition Experts head to Alaska

Promising to go where the big ship’s Cant, Hurtigruten have announced they will be placing a brand-new Expedition ship in Alaska for Summer 2020

It will be one of the few cruise lines to offer Northwest Passage cruises, due to its smaller size with a capacity of 530, arriving in 2019 the first of its kind hybrid Electric-Powered Ship Roald Amundsen will offer 8 to 18 night voyages in Alaska for 2020 and offer more variety to anyone looking to try an expedition cruise following its first year sailing between Portugal, Spain and France, Norway and the Chilean Fjords and more

MS Roald Amundsen will be the first of 2 Hybrid ships to join the fleet with Fridtjof Nansen arriving in 2020

 Did you know??  Both of the ships are Named after two of Norway’s most famous explorers

“Alaska is a perfect fit for Hurtigruten and our expedition cruise concept,” said Daniel Skjeldam, CEO of Hurtigruten. “We will go where the big ships can’t, taking you far beyond the ordinary while exploring the true beauty of Alaska.”

The ship will boast a Two-Level Indoor/Outdoor observation deck and an on-board Science Center. Offering all outside cabins, 50% with Balconies and Aft suites complete with Outdoor Jacuzzi’s. It will offer state of the art technology and an edutainment area.
