Sir Michael Parkinson or Ed Sheeran!!

Everyone knows that Cunard is an amazing cruise line, they know that their ships or ocean liners are a stunning sight to behold but not everyone knows that they have had and continue to have some very famous names onboard.
Some say that Cunard has had more famous people than any other cruise line sailing with them, to be honest, they would probably be right.

Charles Dickens for one back in 1842, the cabins would have been a lot smaller then so I doubt he did much writing on board.

How about Charlie Chaplin, I wonder if he did his iconic walk since he was on an iconic ship, bet that was a sight to see.
Her Majesty the Queen, you don’t get much more famous than her, I bet she didn’t dine with the commoners though.

This brings me to the headline Michael Parkinson or Ed Sheeran.

Ed Sheeran was on board recording some music and songs for a documentary to be shown at the Tribeca film festival, he sailed on the Queen Mary 2 from Southampton to new york and had a pop-up studio set up on board for him by the staff. He recorded his new album while he was sailing.
I wonder if anyone knocked on his cabin wall and asked him to turn the music down, imagine their surprise if he knocked to apologize.

Sir Michael Parkinson will be on board Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria ships this summer.
The talk show legend has joined the line’s Insights and Enrichment Programme and will entertain passengers on two sailings in May and June.
Passengers can enjoy An Evening with Michael Parkinson where the star will talk with his son, Mike, and recall his journey from a pit village to mainstream TV.

I personally think this will be quite interesting as he himself has met so many famous people and I for one would love to know what was going through his mind when he met Freddie Starr, I would have been terrified after being at a show with him in, so unpredictable but a very funny man.
Imagine him being loose on a cruise ship.

I think the best was a few months ago though when they hosted The Showman cast onboard, I mean Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron on the same ship what can I say!

It is always worth keeping your eye on the news with Cunard as they have quite a few guests speakers and acts on the ship that are really famous and make you say I would cruise with them just to see that person or act. There is nothing better than coming home and saying look who I bumped into on my cruise and showing a famous face, it’s name dropping at its best.

That is why the cruises called back to the 80s or throwback to the 80s are so popular as all of us of a certain age would love a photo with Jason Donovan, The Human League or Chesney Hawkes, we would talk about it for years.

Like I said name drop with the best of them, I know I do.
