I went to the Royal wedding and now I am off to a christening!!

What an amazing day Saturday was and how gorgeous was the bride, it was really emotional I thought, I almost needed some tissues. I didn’t actually go by the way as I was working but I had it on my phone, it just felt like I was there.
So now that the Royal honeymoon is underway I can tell you my news!!
I am off to a christening on the 8th June, it is not just any christening though, oh no, it is the christening of the brand new MSC Seaview and I get to spend an amazing 2 nights on her with one of my colleagues. The amazing thing about this is that the godmother to all of the MSC ships is the Italian film goddess Sophia Loren who considering her age looks amazing, my mum always says that if she had her money she would look like that too. I dare say she is right as she is all but the same age.

So the Seaview is the sister ship to the Seaside which was launched and christened in Miami with lots of celebrities and glamorous people, Ricky Martin was singing as well so it will be interesting to see what happens this time. There will definitely be fireworks and the champagne will flow.
She will be in Genoa, Italy and not far from there is my favorite port ever of Portofino, it is a stunning little place and we are hoping to take a little boat ride out there if the weather is not too bad, it should be nice in June but can be a little windy at times.
I am not going to tell you all about the ship yet other that she has the most amazing atrium and Swarovski crystal staircases and it is so glamorous, I will save that until I do my blog on returning from the trip.

I am actually off to London for a few days now and we are going to finally get to see Wicked, I have been wanting to see this show for years. I have been told so many times by people that it is a must see.
I am also trying to convince my daughter to come on the Emirates cable car across the Thames as well, she is not too keen on that, I thought it would be nice just as it is getting dark so we can see everything lighting up. We shall see, watch out for the photos of that.

So that is me for another 2 weeks.

I am back just in time to watch Liverpool and Real Madrid in that final so my nerves will be in bits, we have tickets to watch it on the big screen at Anfield if I finish on time on Saturday, who will you be rooting for?
