Is it wise to take a 4 year old on a Cunard ship? I guess I’ll soon know!

CUNARD ARE YOU PREPARED???????

So no sooner have I just returned and unpacked from my Amazing time on the World’s biggest ship Harmony of the seas towards the end of the Month, it’s time once again for me to Set off on the long drive back down to Southampton albeit this time for a very different experience than last as I will be joining Queen Victoria on a 4-night cruise stopping at St Peters Port and Bruges.

Cunard is not particularly a cruise line I would have chosen as I have a young daughter aged 4 and normally go for the more family orientated ship. If I’m totally honest I am a little apprehensive about Cunard.  Even as a travel agent, I prescribe to the preconception of a very formal and a bit of a stuffy environment, but I was lucky enough to win it in a competition and well it would be rude not to go, wouldn’t it?

When I think of Cunard I have visions of my 4-year-old running riot dancing on the dance floor (4-year-old style) whilst all the Cunard clientele are doing a waltz tutting at us as they go along.

She’ll be dive bombing in the pool whilst the Lords and ladies are quietly relaxing with a Pimms around the Pool reading the Times.

Now i’m sure  my thoughts are exaggerated and deep down I am actually really looking forward to a completely different style of cruising than what i’m used to.

That’s not the only cruise ship I’m luckily enough to going on during my week off I am also going on board the Disney Magic ship for a day visit when she visits Liverpool. It’s not very often a Disney ship visits a uk Port so this is a real privilege I’ve heard lots about being on a Disney ship and can’t wait to see the Magic myself.

So keep an eye out for by forthcoming blogs where I’ll let you know if we really did disgrace ourselves on a Cunard ship or if my preconceptions were actually all wrong and if Disney Magic is as Magical as I’m expecting.
