Prague part 2.

Having been back for a fortnight now, we have already decided that we are going to return to Prague next October half term with our daughters as we haven’t really shut up about it, I just know they will love exploring and riding the trams!

The picture above is of me and the boss walking through the narrowest street in Prague. At some points both of my shoulders were touching either side of the walkway, hence the need for this path to feature traffic lights at each end! The path leads to a little bar that overlooks the river, with is pretty darned stunning.

With trams, busses and the metro all being covered by your travel card, getting around the city is incredibly easy, and cheap. A day ticket worked out at about £4 each and we even used the transport to get from the airport to the hotel using the bus and metro. Perfect.

After we shimmied out of the narrowest street we went and climbed to the top of the tower at one end of the Charles Bridge, this gives such lovely views of the city and well worth the admission fee just for the pictures you can get, either looking back up at the castle, or looking across the bridge. In the other tower there is a collection of things found under the bridge during some restoration works. These have been displayed and range from medieval tools to mobile phones and bank cards. Quite the interesting collection.

So if you fancy a trip to somewhere beautiful, easy to get around and very cheap (£1.57 was the most I paid for a pint!) then Prague is most definitely for you. It is 100% worth doing your research first as I found it really helpful to have the names of places written doing and Google Maps on my phone to find them!
