My little break to wonderful Prague.

So I returned in the early hours of this morning from a 3 night break to my new favourite city, Prague. My lovely other half booked it and managed to keep it a surprise until my birthday back on the 6th and we flew out on Thursday morning after off loading the kids and having the customary Wetherspoons at Stansted.

Since I was told where we were going I did a tonne of research online and watched hours of video guides, and I have to say, I am normally one to fly by the seat of my pants, the research and information I found out before our visit was invaluable and we managed to do so much without booking tours or paying for taxis etc. It was fab.

My first win, was finding out about the Dancing House. In a city so untouched, this incredible looking building still somehow fits in with the surroundings and I swiftly had us booked into the restaurant on the top floor for lunch on the 2nd day before we left! Well worth a visit.

The thing that I loved most about this beautiful place was the beer! £1.60 was the most I paid for a pint of the stuff, the only downside is a lack of toilets in the city lead to the vicious cycle of ‘I need the loo, need to find a bar and buy a drink to use their’s, leave. Repeat this all day pretty much with taking in the breath taking architecture and views.

Another gem my research unearthed, I hadn’t actually planned on going out of our way, but we stumbled upon it on our adventures. The Prague post office. This must be the most beautiful post office in the world and certainly knocks the spots of the desk at the back of our local Nisa!!

If I did my full trip in one blog it would be longer that the Hobbit……To be continued.
