So this week has seen Costa launch a money back guarantee on all of their Mediterranean sailing 14 days and under to try and entice the new to cruise market, and those that have been put off the line since the tragic accident in 2012 involving the Concordia that rocked the whole cruise and travel industry alike.

Now after over 3 years and an estimated cost of over $2 billion to fix the damage done to the island and also break down the ship, it appear Costa and owner Carnival are ready to go on the offensive and win a chunk of the millions of cruisers to give them a go.

With a similar feel to MSC with regards to the “Italian style” of cruising, this definitely splits opinion and are very much the Marmite cruise lines, when it comes to how customers feel about them. So is this move going to entice you to give them a try?
