Black Friday – Are you going to get on board?

So this Friday is going to be a black one, and the latest “American” celebration that the UK has fully embraced. Having recently enjoyed a completely over the top Halloween with the kids, a celebration that seems to have got a lot bigger in the last few years!

Just in case you live under a rock, or your eyes or ears do not work, Black Friday is happening this Friday. Traditionally a huge sales day in the USA following their celebration of Thanks Giving, which takes place on the 22nd November, where retailers go gaga and force savings and offers down our throats from all directions.

The cruise lines seem to have got involved with the craze in recent years with a limited window and started slashing prices and giving extras such as additional onboard credit if you book during the window of opportunity.

Last year’s Black Friday was one of our busiest days of the year, with Princess coming out as the big winners, as they rolled out a handful of heavily reduced cruises, which flew off the shelf. I’m sure they will be going down the same route this year too. The cruise lines have been very secretive regarding what they are going to offer, which my brain thanks them for. Memorising the offers of all the cruise line in one morning is one of my favourite things, ha ha.

If you have your eye on a certain sailing for next year, or 2020, give me a call or email on Friday to see if the price has been reduced over the Black Friday period.
