6 star line make it ‘Crystal’ clear they want top spot

Crystal has thrown down the 6 star gauntlet in what is possibly the biggest announcement in the luxury market EVER. Whilst guests will still be able to enjoy the current offerings of the cruise line, they will also be able to try their hand at river cruising, luxury yachting, submarine cruising and even get to travel to and from their destination on their own airline!!!

Crystal had previously announced they’d be introducing one new ship to the cruising market but will now instead be adding three.
At a planned 100,000 tonnes each, which for a 6 star ship, IS HUGE!!! To put it in perspective, the Grand Princess is 108,000 tonnes. The BIG difference will be capacity, with the Crystal ships allowing a maximum capacity of 1000 passengers, the Grand Princess at full capacity holds 3100. So, as you can imagine, the space per passenger is going to be unrivalled!!

Crystal are planning to have the most luxurious suites at sea, double the size of any other cruise line with the sense of space being enhanced by extra high ceilings.

The ships will have 48 residencies on board available to buy and use year round as a 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th house depending on if your bank balance reads like a telephone number. These residencies have their own private restaurant and reception. Obviously.

The first of their new ocean going vessels is due in 2018, and they are expecting their first luxury river vessel to be with them in 2017 offering unparalleled levels of luxury in the world of river cruising.

If their planned offerings were quite enough to get your juices flowing, then they take ownership of the Crystal Espirit from December this year, offering just 63 passengers the opportunity to take luxury yachting holidays. Why not eh!! The yacht comes equipped with jetskis and of course its’ own 2 man submarine.

The final announcement was that the line was to purchase it’s very own 787 Dreamliner to fly their guests to the embarkation point in style. Again, plans are a little bit bonkers with the level of luxury. The plane that is designed to carry over 300 passengers, will carry a mere 60!! Extra legroom seats will not be required I reckon!!
