Most embarrassing cruise moment ?
I did a bit of research on this as I saw an article and as I started reading the corners of my mouth went up and a found myself smiling. This was not necessarily at the article but I just thought I certainly am not by myself !!
I probably have quite a few if I am honest but I have two or three that I will share and certainly still make me laugh now.
My first was a short cruise that was through work and when ever I go on a work trip I always have so much to do before hand making sure everything is in order for the family, lists washing and everyone knows where they have to be at what time. I got my case packed and picked the suit hanger off the back of the door with my dress in for the formal night. Off we go on a coach to Newcastle I think , lots of banter on the way and I was bragging as I had been given a suite. We arrived and went to our cabin to unpack it was only a short cruise for two nights but we were having a formal night on the first night .
Can you imagine my face when I opened my suit carrier to find my husbands suit instead of my dress !!!!
Number 2 on my embarrassing moments
It was a particularly rough night on a cruise and obviously I had done what most people do in an evening and participated in a couple of coctails , we decided to call it a night and retire so we headed down the corridor to our cabin and we were laughing at the fact it was taking a long time to get back as we were doing more swaying one side to another than one foot in front of the other purely because of the ships movements honestly !!! When I was passing a cabin door and they opened the door and OOPS yes you guessed it the ship took a bigger sway than normal and I was over !!

When looking into other peoples stories these are my favourite
‘Sailing on the Solstice several years ago, one night I got up in the middle of the night to to go to the toilet. Being my first sailing on this ship, I thought I had walked into the bathroom when I found myself stark naked in the hallway, locked out of my cabin! Fortunately, my partner was still inside. I started knocking softly on the cabin door, but no response. I continued to knock louder, then louder, afraid I would awake my neighbors. Finally, I heard him say ‘ there is someone at our door.’ When he finally opened the door and found me standing there, we both broke into fits of laughter…
My husband and I shared a dinner table with the couple in the cabin next to us. We hadn’t met them before the cruise – just random seating assignment. They were a very nice couple, about my parents’ ages. We got along very well with them and the other couple at our table.
One afternoon I was on the balcony and saw some dolphins swimming near the ship. I was leaning on the railing and noticed that our neighbor/tablemate was also on his balcony. I turned to ask if he had also seen the dolphins when I realized that he wasn’t wearing any clothes. I saw a lot more of him than I ever expected. I quickly retreated into my cabin.
I was still embarrassed at dinner that night. I guess he told his wife what had happened because she looked at me and said, “I told him to put a robe on before going out on the balcony, but he didn’t want a tan line.” Then we had to explain to the other couple what had happened. We all ended up laughing about it.
