Our Quartely cruise comparisons are out and the stats show some exciting new trends in the cruise market.

I think the cruise market is forever changing and is always growing.  I always get asked when is the best time to book ? Well the truth is who knows anymore!!  If you find something that is what you want and you are happy with the price just do i t . Celebrity released their 2016 cruises back at the end of last year which is the earliest ever and the reason why is because a lot of their market are early bookers.

Here are the recent stats;

22.3 million people went on a cruise last year  , 5.8 million of those people cruised in Europe .

85% of cruisers will travel just once a year and 1 in 5 cruisers will have sailed more than 20 times now.

The most popular cruising regions in the Uk are The North West , The Midlands and the South East .

The age of the average cruiser has now dropped down to fifty five years old instead of sixty five it was 10 years ago .

Passengers are also getting more adventurous, with over 53% now travelling to a destination new to them. the most popular cruise destination is teh Far East and The Danube is topping it for River Cruising .

Cruisers are booking on average 168 days in advance which has changed over the last 10 years from 218 days in advance.

What are cruisers looking for now on a ship??  well not great news for the leading cruise companies where innovation is there middle name !!

No it showed 86 % of people are looking for Wifi 59% the shows and 19% a flatscreen tv !!! Also 30% of cruise passengers stick to the same cruise line .
