My Top Ten things to avoid on a cruise ship

Everyone is full of tips and advise of all the things you must do whilst your on a cruise but I thought I would share the top 5 things to avoid.

1)Avoid using your mobile phone whilst on board. Although phones can be used on cruise ships don’t be fooled it will cost you !! Rates can be high so its worth checking with your phone provider before you go and then switch off your phone when you are sailing.

2).Avoid Bingo on the American ships you might love your Bingo in the uk but the american version is different , For $25 or more a go it’s no bargain.

3) This is a real hard one for me and has got me on so many of my cruises but AVOID the shops it’s very easy to get carried away especially with the Memorabilia and on a recent cruise of mine at £5 for a pencil your onboard spend wont go far , if you see a watch or a designer bag don’t rush to buy it as there may be a sale night later in your cruise.

4) Avoid Buying Bottled Water on Board Bottled water on a cruise ship can cost you as much as $4 per bottle. You may not of know this but a cruise ship’s water is MUCH better than tap water due to the filtration systems. You can get water free of charge also at certain places on your ship.

5) Avoid Eating Before You Get on Board As I can guarantee as soon as you get on the ship the first thing you will want to do is eat after all, you have already paid for it, and since you can’t go to your room right away it’s a great time to stuff your face with some of the best food on the planet.
