Unicorn adds to Turkeys troubles

I have had a few clients call me on my direct number to ask me about their cruise and if it still safe to travel to Turkey with the current unrest there.  Advice to them was that we have not been made aware of any transport or security issues and to carry on as a normal with travel to the popular holiday destination.  I am pleased about this as I have cruised into Turkey before (Kusadasi) and it was lovely.  The people were really friendly and the markets and shops are fabulous for a good barter and shop to get some bargains.  We sampled lots of goodies and the Turkish delight brought home as a gift from my mom was amazing so highly recommend a purchase if you are partial to a bit of delight.
Now if you are reading this and are a unicorn then good news as there won’t be any security risks for you entering Turkey on your holidays.  The Passport controls at Antalya airport were left red faced after a nine year old British girl mistakenly presented her Teddy Unicorns pretend passport when entering the Country.  They waved her through despite no resemblance to the picture of the pink Unicorn on the passport and even went as far as giving the passport a stamp.  Officials of all countries are meant to scan passports and cross check passenger details before allowing them into the country, but obviously in this case this wasn’t done.  You have to see the funny side of it but I’m sure there will be some strict changes and telling offs so officials in Turkey will not be letting any Unicorns, Teddy bears or Barbie’s on holiday there again in the future .
