The crème de la crème of the luxury cruise market, Regent Cruises have long had an excellent reputation. Since 1994 they’ve focused their attention on giving guest’s space and luxury, priding themselves on their elegance and including far more than other cruise lines do in the upfront price of their cruise fares. Is There A “Typical” Regent Cruiser? The line is popular with honeymooners, those celebrating an anniversary and those after a high quality holiday. Celebrity Offers Exclusive Overnights In The Caribbean!

For the first time ever, Celebrity Cruises will be offering overnight stays in the Caribbean. No, we don’t mean one night away (that would be a long flight for one night)! They’ll be adding more overnight stays to some of their Caribbean itineraries. This will be the first time any cruise line has really done this in the Caribbean! The trend for overnight stays has proven very popular in Europe as it gives people the chance to explore the local night life and spend much longer than usual in their destination but it remains to be seen how popular this will be on sailings from Miami. The overnight stop will be offered on one of Celebrity’s 43 cruises that are ten nights or longer in 2016. The six ports included in the Caribbean are Aruba, Barbados, Cartagena, Cozumel, Curacao and St Maarten. For those that have been to the Caribbean in the past but want to try something new, these overnight stops give them the chance to see a side of the Caribbean they may not have seen before! Dondra Ritzenthaler, Celebrity’s senior vice-president of sales, said: “while overnights have been a trend in the marketplace in Europe and Asia, there really hasn’t been a movement (in the Caribbean), and we believe we are a leader in this initiative.”   Would you be interested in staying overnight in the...

Popular cruise destinations

Part 4 in this series can be found here! Owing to the many advancements in safety and comfort, the popularity of cruise holidays has risen markedly in recent years, with figures showing that more and more people are opting to holiday in this relaxing way every year. And those who have recently travelled on a luxury liner will have no trouble understanding the unique appeal of this mode of transport.  This point is emphasised by a recent report regarding the state of the industry, which revealed that the number of British and overseas passengers joining their cruise at a UK port rose by ten per cent, to 1.06 million, in 2013. And given that the technology that supports the industry is improving all the time, there is good reason to suspect that these numbers will continue to increase in the years ahead.  These days, many of the newest and best cruise liners are more akin to hotels on water, with a whole host of amenities being included on-board to ensure that passengers are able to enjoy the sort of break that they will not forget in a hurry. Among the many features that are often included onboard a luxurious liner are things like gyms, spas and restaurants, among other things.  But once you’ve decided that the option of travelling on a boat is the best choice for you, it is then a question...
