New addition from Southampton.

As it is the time of year that a lot of the cruise lines launch their new itineraries for 2019/20 I thought I would take a look at the Explorer of the seas, this ship is taking over from the Navigator of the seas which is off to pastures new.

It is a funny thing when Royal Caribbean decide to bring in a different ship to Southampton as a lot of people don’t always like the change, rest assured though that the Explorer is the same class as the Navigator so there will not be much difference.

Let me tell you a few things about her.

She is a whopping 311 metres long

She holds 4029 passengers

A crew of 1180 and for those nautical minded people out there she has a cruising speed of 23.7 knots

She also has an amazing 15 decks

On board she has a host of things you can do including rock climbing, ice skating and the most gorgeous Theatre for all of those Broadway style shows.
If you fancy a little slice of Vegas at sea there is a casino as well.

Fancy a massage then feel free at the Vitality spa, you really
do end up with the feel good factor after that.

For families there is everything you would expect from Royal Caribbean with water slides and kids clubs and check out the family cabins, WOW.
Do you like a room with a view then the panoramic ocean view cabins are perfect for you with their floor to ceiling windows

Most people ask about the pub, strange but true, on this ship it is called the Crown and Kettle and its on the Royal promenade as they usually are and it is a perfect spot to do a little people watching or simply sit and relax.

For the men the most popular question is do they have a sports bar on board, well yes is the short answer to that and a very nice one at that.
I guess in a nutshell that more or less sums it up.

There are quite a few itineraries from 7/9/10/11/13/14 nights so something to suit everyone.
Prices start from under the £700 per person mark so nothing scary about that, I am really excited to see these prices and itineraries, that price was based early may by the way.

Itineraries are varied and include a nice little cruise from Singapore to Dubai for 11 nights called the spice route, The Suez canal is another nice one while she sails her way to the Med and also there are Canaries cruises and Northern Europe cruises some with Italy and there is the Baltics as well so something to suit all tastes,

So what are you waiting for, with our deposits of £1 pp its a perfect time to book your 2019 cruise, get the cabins while they are there, go check them out before it’s too late.
