“OMG! I’m sorry I just hallucinated”

” Do you think she woke up one morning and said: I think I’ll go to law school today.”

Yes you may have guessed it Legally Blonde the musical is one of my all time favourite chick flicks, so I was so excited to discover it was announced during a press conference that when the NCL getaway debuts January 2014, Legally Blonde the musical along with a Latin version of Burn the Floor will Headline this fantastic new ships 787 seater theatre.

Describing Legally Blonde, the Musical as a “cutesy, real fun play,” NCL CEO Kevin Sheehan  said bringing the seven-time Tony Award nominated musical to the ship proves that Broadway production companies now consider cruise ships a viable outlet for their plays.

Sheehan went on to say “Norwegian has truly raised the bar when it comes to entertainment at sea and that is why it was extremely important to me that Norwegian Getaway feature high-caliber entertainment that will continue to exceed our guest’s expectations.  With LEGALLY BLONDE  performing in the Getaway Theater, along with BURN THE FLOOR, world-class comedy by THE LEVITY ENTERTAINMENT GROUP, magic in the previously announced ILLUSIONARIUM,  THE GRAMMY EXPERIENCE, and all of the other entertainment offerings, we continue our commitment on Norwegian Getaway to offer guests the best entertainment experience possible.”

So with all these promises and the NCL getaway currently  under construction at the Meyer Werfy shipyard in Germany, The ship will be decorated with “hull artwork” from David LEBO Le Batard, plus it will be home to three Geoffrey Zakarian restaurants. Are we excited ?

Well I certainly am, and cant wait to see what else they have in store for the Getaway.

Rumour is that the Norwegian Getaway will sail seven-night cruises (nine-night fly-cruises) from Miami to the Eastern Caribbean beginning on February 1st 2014, with ports of call including Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Nassau, Bahamas
