MSC Seaview

I’m back from a weekend enjoying the Brand new MSC Seaview and all she has to offer.  This was the first time I have sailed with MSC and I was really looking forward to experiencing their new class of cruise ship.

Before joining when looking at photos of the Seaview I had a lot of mixed preconceptions, as to look at she’s not the most prettiest of ships. However never has there been such an appropriate saying of “its what’s on the inside that counts”

As soon as we stepped on directly into the atrium we were wowed. Spanning over 4 decks the central hub of the ship was stylish, modern and just beautiful, paired with live acoustic guitar player and signature Swarovski stair case, I instantly loved this area.  By day this is a great place to sit relax and watch the world go by, come evening depending on the theme this area comes alive in a way I have never seen on any other ship.

We had a had a standard fantastica balcony cabin on deck 11. The cabin was a great size and a good amount of storage space with the balcony being slightly larger than others I had seen on other ships. I was pleased that with a brand new ship they has moved with the times by introducing USB sockets including some by the head of the beds which strangely enough I get asked a lot.

There are over 20 bars and lounges across the ship and each of them is different from the next, from sports bars to champagne bars, chocolate bar to 1960’s inspired American bar. All very different but lots of fun.

There 9 different restaurants and the buffet so you will never go hungry, the restaurants give you food choices from across the world so an amazing variety to choose from. We enjoyed two nights in Speciality restaurants The Asian Kitchen and the Butchers board but more about them later.

The entertainment on board  is just endless. The Jungle Aquaventure park is a kids (big and small) paradise with Slides, flumes, jets and huge buckets that fill up and empty on thrilled kids.

On top of this if you are able to drag the kids away from the aquapark on top of Children’s club ranging from 3-17 years, you can purchase a “FUNPASS” to enjoy activities such as 10 pin bowling, F1 simulator, 4D cinema, Zip wire and arcade games you certainly will not leave the Seaview with Bored children it wouldn’t be impossible.

I have so much to tell you about from my trip so join me next time to hear all about my dining experience. Until then please visit my facebook page to see more videos from my weekend.
