Magnifica day for the MSC Virgin part 2

Following on from my previous blog…….

So that fact that I needed another week to tell you all about my dining experience proved just how good this was.

From what have seen I would say that MSC have the best Allegrissimo package on the seas at the moment.

ALLEGRISSIMO ADULT at £20 (per day) Unlimited wine by the glass (choice of 2 whites, 1 rosè, 2 reds, 2 sparkling wines – 1 dry and 1 sweet), draught beer, soft drinks, mineral water and a wide selection of drinks and cocktails from the bar, as well as take-away ice-cream in a cone or cup.

ALLEGRISSIMO CHILD at £10.50 (per day) Unlimited soft drinks, mineral water, fruit juices, hot drinks, virgin cocktails, smoothies and milkshakes, as well as take-away ice-cream in a cone or cup.

Allegrissimo can be pre paid prior to departure allowing you to budget for you holiday before you travel and still enjoy all the benefits. This package is available in all main onboard restaurants, self-service buffet and all bars however not in the  à la carte restaurants.

Usually All Inclusives are generally limited to just wine, beers and spirits but with MSC there are is much more with them including coffee, hot chocolate milkshakes,ice-creams and smoothies. My personal favourite would be the Topazio Coffee Bar, serving specialty coffees including my all time favourite Irish coffee Yum and the most delicious hot chocolates.

Other more specific drinks packages are also available for guest who wish to pick and choose just their favourite tipples or preferences. All these options can be pre booked prior to travel adding a bit extra to everyone individual holiday needs

So moving on to the Food, WOW the food. During our day visit to the MSC Magnifica we were treated to a very nice 8 course meal.

We dined in the very nice Quattro Venti. With its two seatings for meals, and tables are for two, four, six or eight this it 1 of two main dinning venues on board seating in both banquette-style and as you would expect very Italian. The waiter staff were fantastic, our glasses were never empty and they were only too happy to help with all our requests. Other visitors in our party were even happy as husband is a Celiac and staff couldn’t do enough to help with his gluten free needs this being a first for these cruising customers.

Day time dining will be in the Sahara Cafeteria which is Casual, self-serve buffets for breakfast and lunch. Here you will find cooked breakfast, fresh fruit at every visit, Homemade pizza, Pasta and much much more. The view from the Mediterranean view buffet may keep you there a little longer than expected giving you even longer to enjoy the day time cuisine .  However if you feel like a lazy lunch from your sunbed the pool deck outside also provides a fast-food eatery.

On top of all this if you still wanted more choice an alternative the Shanghai this is a Chinese à la carte which carries a extra-cost when dinning here. L’Oesi is  a reservation-required, extra charge, à la carte dining spot that, by day, forms the aft section of the Sahara Cafeteria, with its Moroccan decor.
