Cheap prices, cheap quality??

I like many others always look for a good price and try to balance that with value for money, sometimes that may mean going somewhere on holiday I had not considered, or maybe going on a cruise I would not of thought of doing.

Nothing wrong in that but recently I have seen on our Forum site a few comments about the lack of service, or the quality of decor in the cabin, maybe a rusty hinge on a wardrobe or room service taking too long. certainly these comments are not something I have experienced over the years, well in hotels yes but not in cruising.

Now although these comments are very small in comparison to the amount of good comments and even smaller compared to the amount of cruises going out everyday they are still worth reading, thinking about and asking why has this hapened? Why is it happening.

Maybe we are becoming victims of our own doing, pushing for lower prices means that there is enivetiably going to be cut backs somewhere.

Maybe we are the victims of a price war between cruise lines as they try to reduce prices or add on extras to look like they have the best deals.

Whatever the reason standards should not be dropped and we should not allow it to happen, I only get 1 big holiday a year with my family and I don’t want to spend that time looking at getting repairs done to my cabin/ room, or feeling that asking for an extra glass of water is too much trouble for my waiter.

Feed back is essential to making everyones holiday as good as it can possibly be, whether it be good or bad.
