Space Travel would you still go ?

After the tragic accident involving the test craft from Virgin Galactic on 31st October 2014 do you think it will stop people wanting to get a ticket for this ? Many big names have already paid for a seat and in the future I am sure more will follow. While a real tragedy for the loss of life, thoughts and prayers are always with the families and friends of anyone making great sacrifices in the name of progress. Sir Richard Branson has been a leader in many fields, while not maybe the inventor , he has made some services better and more attainable than most.

If we look at the Space flight history in America there have been many tragedies and failed attempts, who can forget the Challenger disaster back in 1986 which claimed the lives of 7 crew members, it would not be respectful to the memories of these gallant people should everything stop, I am sure they would have been the first to say lets learn from this and move forward.

What I would like Sir Richard to do is set up a lottery for one seat on his future flight, sell it to the general public who could never afford the prices asked for, even if the tickets were £10 each, he could potentially raise millions ? There should then be nominated charities people can pick from to donate the funds, not your normal ones who have massive public awareness already, but smaller ones that a run by a hand full of people for really good causes, what would your choice be ?

My nomination would be http://www.reubensretreat.org/reubens-journey/

Read this heartbreaking story and see how inspirational the parents of this beautiful little boy.

And would you buy a ticket ?
