2015 will be a big year for Southampton

This week we saw the launch of the P&O Britannia and Royal Caribbean International Anthem of the Seas itineraries and pricing.

With each ship offering a host of brand new and exclusive features, great pricing and sailings next year will prove to be a big year for Southampton.

So how do they differ??

Britannia will be more like a floating five star hotel with a 3 tier atrium, 15 decks, 13 bars, 13 dining venues, 4 pools as well as new features such as the James Martin Cookery club. There will be a choice of suites, balcony staterooms and single cabins to accommodate all. She will be a graceful elegant head turner with sophistication and glamorous contemporary British style.

Her Maiden voyage will be a 14 night Western Mediterranean cruise with a lead in fare of £1149. There will also be the option of  free car parking or on board credit. This will go on sale 27 March 2014 but pre registration is open now and is proving popular.

Anthem on the other hand is totally different…..

Boasting some amazing firsts at sea such as The North star, the pod that will elevate you high above the ocean, bumper cars, Ripcord by Ifly, and a roller rink. And an even more spectacular, virtual balcony staterooms. A virtual balcony portraying that of a balcony view with real time weather outside.

Anthems maiden voyage will be an 8 night France and Spain sailing in April 2015 with a lead in fare of just £899.00 per person.

These ships are already a hit and pre registration is well under way for both. Let’s hope I can get on both.

But its not just Southampton set for a big year next year, Barcelona is expecting record numbers with the worlds largest cruise ship Allure of the Seas arriving 2015. Exciting news as if Anthem and Britannia weren’t enough!!
