MSC ask ‘which ports of call would you choose for your world cruise?’

Having introduced a new 33 night cruise from Dubai to Australia, MSC was overwhelmed by the response to such an extent, that they had to put bookings on hold.   Within a matter of days the voyage had sold 60% capacity and the initial offering in the UK had achieved 98% of target sales.

Company executive director Giles Hawke says “The first time you do something you don’t know whether the demand is there… we’ve been pleasantly surprised by what we’ve seen.” In light of such demand the company is now seriously considering the introduction of more long distance and exotic sailings and has even suggested that if they too, also did well, they may enter the world cruise arena in 2017.

He went on to add “We’re looking for agents to give us some views as to where they would like us to go and also hear from our customers,” So I thought what better place than Cruise.co.uk to capture those views and open the debate into where in the world the best world cruise would go…………..

Personally, I would love a cruise which called at Madagascar, Borneo or Penang in Malaysia.

So I now invite you to come up with some ideas as to where in the world a cruise ship should call if it were to provide your ideal itinerary.

Which ports would your world cruise call at?

  1. Have already done a world cruise. Awesome! My next world cruise must stop at ports for the Holy Land. Gibraltar was a favourite of mine. Would love Morocco, too.

  2. I. Would like to include Male in the Maldives and Easter Islands in any itinery.
