Mines a Pint of Black Stuff

As I’ve mentioned before i’m not really a drinker, tend to have half a cider every now and again. so i’m sure it will surprise some of you to hear i visited the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin recently.

It was my excursion of choice during my visit to Dublin with Cruise and Maritime Voyages. I wasn’t sure what to expect but i was still presently surprised. It was more interactive than i thought it might have been. The building is shaped like a pint glass and has several floors with different exhibits, some well recognized characters and of course finishes up at the bar with a perfect pint of Guinness.

I have tried it in the UK before and don’t really like it but i was told to try it as it is served properly in Dublin. As in at the right temperature and with the right head on it. I didn’t go for the full pint as didn’t want to waste it but the sample i tried was actually quite nice. I’m sure those of you who love your ales would have appreciated more than myself.

It’s usually referred to as the Black Stuff but it’s actually Ruby Red.

All in all i enjoyed my visit here and would happily take Jonny boy if we get chance to visit Dublin together.

Did a little souvenir shopping here too as i’m terrible for magnets. They also had some great glasses in the shop and reasonably priced too.

The Guinness Storehouse is fairly close to Dublin as it only took about 20 mins to walk to Bad Bobs Temple Bar. Passing many busy streets along the way.

Have you ever been to the Guinness Storehouse? What did you think.

As always i’m happy to answer any questions you may have about this trip or if you need some help with your next cruise.

Have a fantastic New Year all of you and thank you to all of you who have booked with me and continue to trust me with your cruise holidays.

Take Care.
