Busy time for South America

Last month for me was very popular for South America inquiries and i must say i found it really interesting as i haven’t been myself. One holiday in particular was our Tailor made itinerary ‘The Best of South America with Iguassu Falls, Christ the Redeemer and Buenos Aires’.

Iguassu Falls i found particularly interesting as i didn’t realize there were two Airports you can fly into to reach it. Foz Do Iguacu which is the Brazil side, this is only about 20 mins transfer time to Iguassu Falls itself. And the other Airport is Cataratas International Airport which is the Argentina side, this is about 1 hour transfer to Iguassu Falls. After a bit of research and looking it up on Google Maps i found it’s fine to fly in or out of either airport to have a stay in Iguassu.

No trip to Rio De Janeiro is complete without an excursion to the Christ Redeemer, it sounds lovely. ‘Meet one of the most representative icons of Rio de Janeiro, Corcovado (Christ the Redeemer). Enjoy this spectacular view from the top to take stunning photographs from the top of Corcovado Mountain.’ One of my customers had done this before but he was very keen to do it again. the view alone for me would be enough.

I was asked about the best places to stay in Rio and also Iguassu. A few nights would be enough in Iguassu as other than the National Park there isn’t an awful lot to do there. For your 4-5* hotels most of them tend to be further out of the center making it more difficult to find something to do or go somewhere to eat.

For Rio De Janeiro try and get a 4/5* hotel on Copa or Leme Beach. These locations are spot on.

On of my customers made this itinerary even more exciting by extending the cruise. After it finishes in Santiago he is staying on board to do the next itinerary for 16 nights and finishing up in Los Angeles to fly back home.
