A day on board the Celebrity Reflection

I was lucky enough to spend a night on board the Celebrity Reflection when she launched back in 2012. Part of the Solstice Class ships she has one deck more than her sisters, she was the first to have Aqua Class Suites and is the only ship to have Reflection Class Suites. She can accommodate over 3000 passengers, more than any other Celebrity cruise ship.

On board you will find the lawn club. This is a one of a kind feature with real grass. It’s an ideal spot  to grab an al fresco lunch, play outdoor games, catch a live jazz concert, or just relax. Unlike the other Solstice Class ships only the Reflection and the Silhouette have the Lawn Club Grill, which offers hearty, rustic barbecue food. Guests can also relax in the cabana-style Alcoves.

Lovely and spacious balcony cabins with a sliding door out onto the private balcony. These staterooms do include two lower beds convertible into a queen bed, flat screen TV’s, Safes, complimentary beach towel service and hair dryers. Custom blended bath products, shower cap, cotton balls and cotton swabs can be found in the en suite bathroom.

The main dining room on board this ship was stunning. The highlight of this room is the wine tower which features 1800 bottles of wine. The main dining room is complimentary for all guests and you can opt for traditional dining or my time dining depending which is available. Traditional dining is usually a 6.30pm or 8.30pm seating with the same waiter and same table every evening. My time dining is a case of turning up and seeing if there’s a table. If there isn’t you will be given a buzzer and you can go have a drink while you wait.

Another feature restaurant for the Celebrity Reflection is the Blu Restaurant. this restaurant is complimentary and exclusively for Aqua Class guests. The menu in here does change daily and is healthy and contemporary. Blu is open for breakfast and dinner. Dining is flexible in this restaurant so no reservations required.

There are 9 bars on board this ship so plenty of places to drink. The Martini Bar is the most famous bar of the Solstice class ships featuring an ice topped bar. The Sky lounge has some of the best views at sea whilst enjoying a drink.

The Reflection has a very generous sized theater and we enjoyed watching the comedian followed by an acrobatic show.
