A Weekend With Celebrity Part 2

Hi everyone welcome back. If you missed part one here is a link click here.

The pools were a lovely size on the top deck and 4 Jacuzzi one in each corner. There was a stage here too sometimes they would have singers on. A lot of sun lounging space on this ship, not all loungers were in sun depending on the time of day. Up on the Lawn Club you could take a towel and lay out on the grass. That’s right real grass. Here you can enjoy a drink from the Sunset Bar or watch the Hot Glass Show.

Next to the pool deck was the adult only Solarium. This was open until about 9.00pm. Complete with shower and changing facilities. There were also 2 Jacuzzi baths in here too.

Not forgetting the children too. Everyday there was a cruise planner in the room so you could see what activities were happening and which ones were for the kids. It would list the times of when you would need to sign the children up for the activities. Ship Mates is for the 3-5 year olds. Cadets 6-8 years and Ensigns 9-11 years.

Over in the X Club are your Teens for 12-17yrs. The sports deck was just outside from here too.

Back on to the subject of food we ate the first night in the Moonlight Sonata main dining restaurant. Excellent menu in here. It took a while to get a table we were on Select dining and went down there sometime after 8pm. There was a lot on late sitting and select dining so having to hand out quite a few beepers and asking us to come back. We got there in the end and my meal was lovely but couldn’t quite manage a sweet i was too tired. Sorry i was that hungry i already started eating my main before taking the picture. I like my beef medium rare. My starter was french onion soup. I’ve had it on other liners before but this was the best.

Plenty of places to drink on board the ship. As it was a taster cruise there were many groups of friends, families and hen parties so naturally the bars were very busy. We managed to visit the Martini Bar this is a frozen bar.  Layla had the Peartini that was highly recommended.

Wine bar Cellar Masters which is inspired by the tasting rooms of the world’s best wineries.

Others include the Sky Observation Lounge, Ensemble Lounge, Fortunes Casino Bar, Slush, Crush and Sunset Bar. For Suite guests and Zenith members there was Michael’s Club.

I hope this gives you a taste of what Celebrity has to offer. For more photos or if you have any questions please give me a call or email me. You can also find Ria’s Cruise Writings Here. If you have traveled with Celebrity yourself and would like to share your thoughts with us please comment.
