Strictly Come Dancing!

It was my nan’s 80th Birthday back in February, and it’s the age old story (pun intended sorry!), what do you get someone.  Do you get them a piece of jewellery as it is a big birthday, do you get them a keepsake?  Well, this was the predicament I was facing.  I wanted to get her jewellery, but she very rarely wears it, and I couldn’t find anything suitable as a keepsake for her.  So it was by chance that I had gone up to visit her and I think it was Strictly Come Dancing that was on the TV, and it was then a lightbulb flashed above my head!

So that night, I searched Ticketmaster for the Strictly Come Dancing Tour and was left disappointed to know that the tour ended before her birthday, however, all was not lost, just underneath it, was a show Strictly Come Dancing the Professionals! Happy Days!  So I bought 2 tickets so that I could go with her.  It came to her birthday, and she opened my card, and read what was inside and you could see the smile just beam across her face, and she had to reread the card in case she had misunderstood, so was so happy! She had to wait until 26th May but she was willing to wait ha ha!

So Sunday just passed, I went to pick her up at 5pm, and she was all giddy and excited like a kid at Christmas, she had been ready since 3.30pm!  And we made our way to Cardiff, we had a spot of tea in an Italian restaurant, hen took our seats in the balcony at the Motorpoint Arena.  And boy was I happy with the seats, I didn’t want to get on the flat florr as, with my Nan being so short (5″ and a fart as she says), I was worried about people sitting in front of her so that she couldn’t see.  So I went for the front row of the balcony so that there was nobody sitting in front of her.  And she loved every minute of it, she knew all the Professionals that were performing and had a little boogy in her seat.  Now, I’ve never watched Strictly but I really enjoyed it and can see why so many people tune in to it week in and week out!

Overall, she really enjoyed her night, which obviously makes me happy.

And don’t worry if you missed the Strictly Arena Tour, then fear not!  They are onboard P&O Cruises! Not only will you be wowed by the dance displays, but you can enjoy a bite to eat with all-new private one-to-one lessons, and dinner in a speciality restaurant hosted by a spectacular pro dancer, both bookable, with a fee, on board.
