Day 6 & Hometime

Day 6 and we were on our way back home, sadly! We had an amazing time in Scotland and got to see so much, even with a wee one in tow! I managed to persuade my other half to let us stop by the seaside on the way home. So, we drove onto Blackpool and stayed at the Hampton by Hilton on the seafront for the night. We love visiting the seaside! It was still quite windy, but the sun really broke through the clouds, so we didn’t even need our coats. This made a change from being windswept and rained on.

Once we arrived, we decided to get onto the tram to take us right to Blackpool tower to have a look around and then we made our way to the Pier’s. We made the most of our afternoon and spent lots of pennies in the penny machines, went on lots of rides on the Pier! Who doesn’t love those?! We had fish and chips on the beach for tea and made our way back to our hotel for a relaxing night in.

The next day we got up bright and earlier eager to get home to our pets! My little boy missed his family so we couldn’t wait to get home.

All in all, our Scottish road trip was a success, didn’t get as much as we wanted to do with our near 1 year old! But we still enjoyed ourselves and the views!

My partner said a cruise will do next time though… HAHAHA!
