Celebrity is going large

Celebrity have announced that their new ships, Silhouette and Reflection (out in 2012) will arrive with more amenities.

While most of the changes will debut with the 122,000-ton Silhouette, Reflection will boast an additional meter in width and an increase of 4,000 gross tons. That will allow for additional cabins and expanded capacity in the ship’s theater and in a number of its restaurants.

One of the most significant changes will be the Lawn Club.  Most significantly, the Corning Glass Museum and the Solstice class’ famous glass-blowing demonstrations are being replaced by the Lawn Club Grill specialty restaurant (the museum and show will remain on the older ships).

Another new venue will be The Porch.  This is a 48 seat eatery over looking the Lawn.  You can get complimentary breakfast and lunch and speciallity coffee, wines and spirits (at a fee).  This will be in a casual setting.

The Art studio will be used for art demonstrations and other classes such as painting.  Check out the classes on board.  Some could be chargable.

Eight cabanna stlye coves will be added.  Each will have space for 4 people.  These are to rent for half or full days.  There will be wifi and an option to order picnic baskets will be available.

For the lazy times 8 hammocks will be added too.  You would not want to leave the confines of the ship!

Is this too much…what do you think??
