Have you had a memorable experience today?

When was the last time you have experienced really good customer service?  It is interesting to read how people perceive good customer service. It is actually defined as “giving a service to clients before, during and after a purchase.” I read this week a really interesting article on airline service, giving the most positive and the most negative ones.  For example United Airlines were top of the negative with 56% yet had 24% of the positive. Top of the positive was Jet Blue with 34% but they also had 46% negative!  I think this shows how we as individuals really do differ.

So, I move to cruising. As you may be aware, every year there is in the Cruise Industry a awards event, a bit like the Oscars! The ships are always marked in categories such as large, mid and small ships. The categories are endless, I have however, looked at best service overall – I wonder if you would agree? On a large ship Emerald Princess gets the gong, followed by Celebrity Silhouette, Celebrity Eclipse and NCL Epic and Spirit. For the mid sized ships the Oceania Riviera comes out top followed by Disney Magic, Thomson Spirit and Island Escape. Finally in the small ships category Fred Olsen’s Black Watch, Regent Seven Seas Mariner, Fred Olsen Braemar and finally Azamara Quest.  Have you been on any of these ships and would agree or disagree?

Here at cruise.co.uk, we really do put a huge emphasis on customer service and getting it right, which is why we do ask clients to feedback on our own individual consultants pages, good or bad.  Sometimes getting it wrong of course, will mean the next time we will get it right! So, let me know your memorable experience of today!
