Star Studded Affair

Princess Cruises has released the celebrity speaker line-up for its UK-based ship, Sapphire Princess, she is sailing from Southampton during spring and summer 2019. The 2,670-guest vessel will set out on a number of cruises to the Mediterranean, northern Europe and Canada and New England from April to October.

For the third year running Princess will host some well known names from across the world of entertainment, politics and sport.

• Linda Gray (actress, Sue Ellen in Dallas and Mrs Robinson in The Graduate theatre production in the West End) appearing on 14-night Baltic Heritage cruise departing 31st August and a 24-night Canada and New England cruise departing 1st September

•  Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards (former British Olympic skier, portrayed in biographical film ‘Eddie The Eagle’) appearing on 14-night Mediterranean Explorer cruise departing 27th July and a 7-night Norwegian Fjords cruise departing 10th August

• Gok Wan (British fashion consultant, author and TV presenter on ‘How To Look Good Naked’ and ‘Gok’s Fashion Fix’) appearing on a 7-night Norwegian Fjords cruise departing 6th July – As part of his stay, Gok will host a ‘red carpet’ fashion event

• Des O’Connor CBE (British singer, comedian and TV presenter on ‘The Des O’Connor Show’ and ‘Countdown’) appearing on a 14-night Mediterranean Adventurer departing 17th August

• Paul Burrell RVM (butler to Diana, Princess of Wales) appearing on a 7-night Spain and France cruise departing 25th May and a 14-night Baltic Heritage cruise departing 1st June

• Ann Widdecombe (former Conservative Party politician, Big Brother, Strictly Come Dancing) appearing on a 7-night Norwegian Fjords cruise departing 18th May

• Duncan James (British singer, TV presenter and actor, formerly in boy band ‘Blue’ and playing Ryan Knight in ‘Hollyoaks’) appearing on a 14-night Mediterranean Explorer cruise departing 27th July

• Samantha Bond (actress, Miss Moneypenny in James Bond and Lady Rosamund Painswick in Downton Abbey) appearing on a 7-night Scandinavia cruise departing 29th June

• Fatima Whitbread (former British Olympic javelin thrower and world record holder) appearing on a 24-night Canada & New England cruise departing 14th September

• Tessa Sanderson CBE (former British Olympic gold medallist javelin thrower and heptathlete) appearing on a 7-night Scandinavia cruise departing 27th April

• David Walsh (sports journalist, four-time Irish Sportswriter of the Year and three-time UK Sportswriter of the Year) appearing on an 11-night Canary Island cruise departing 16th April

• Allan Dennis Rich (songwriter, former Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe nominee) appearing on a 14-night Baltic Heritage cruise departing 4th May

Each speaker will host a 45-minute talk with questions and answers, as well as a meet and greet session including photographs and book signings.
