Crazy Concepts or the Shape of Things to Come?

With every new ship that is launched there are so many incredible new features that make your journey unforgettable. You can spend the day rock climbing, ice-skating, café hopping or shopping. Relax by the pool or go surfing on the surf simulator with Royal Caribbean or even go Bowling on board Norwegian Cruise Lines

As the Quantum of the Seas is due to be launched this autumn who would have ever thought it would be possible to have a go on the zip line, enjoy a picnic in the park (with real trees!) or enjoy incredible 360° panoramic views of the glittering ocean in the new North Star attraction

So what will the Designers and Innovators come up with next?

I have searched the internet for and have come up with a few suggestions of my own, have a look and tell me what you think – Crazy Concepts or the next Big Thing in Cruising!?

Maybe underwater cabins could be the next amazing design concept or an underwater restaurant like this Nautilus Undersea Suite at The Poseidon Resort, FijiCould this Yacht designed like a Tropical Island Paradise be inspiration for a Luxury small cruise ship?

Could this Futuristic underwater Discus Hotel in Dubai  be the basis for Suite design on your next Ocean Cruise?

How about these futuristic designs – do they float your boa

The slinky-like Ark hotel in China can be adapted to suit both land and water, the dome-shaped hotel is constructed with wooden arches, steel cables and a self-cleaning plastic layer instead of glass, could this be modified to be the first Amphibious Cruise Ship ?

The style of this futuristic oceanside villa is designed by Andreas Tirsveis of the Mobius Design Group. The most breathtaking feature is the metal and glass lattice roof canopy which could be modified to use as a retractable swimming pool roof

But best of all could we expect to see a totally submersible cruise ship or an entire floating resort

Would you book any of these or are they just too Space Odyssey..?
