Would you be a Virgin Cruiser??
Virgin Voyages first ship Scarlet Lady is under construction and due to sail in 2020. Here are a few details to what she will offer.
The concept looks as if it will bring lots of new and younger cruisers on board with its relaxed dining and dress codes. There is also another 2 ships on order to launch in 2021 and 2022. They will be adult only ships just a nice size at 110,000 tons with a capacity to hold 2750 passengers, so smaller than the superliners that are launching at the moment. Here are a few details to what she will offer.
Scarlet lady will be based in Miami with 7 day round trips to the Caribbean. During her maiden season, she will overnight in Havana, giving passengers the opportunity to explore the unique nightlife of Cuba’s capital.
Virgin Voyages recently announced details of the ships Rock Star suites. There will be a total of 78 rock star suites onboard with names like posh, fab, gorgeous and massive these will be featured on deck 15. They will have access to “Richards rooftop” a VIP club on deck 16.
There will be no Main dining room onboard and dining will be all speciality restaurants with 20 plus options onboard and no extra charges to dine, which is fantastic news. There will also be no buffet dining option all food is made to order to reduce waste and lower energy consumption and emissions. The dress code is also out there is no formal dress code which would suit those who haven’t cruised due to the formalities.
If you haven’t already heard she is going to have the first tattoo parlour at sea!! Not sure about that one but if you want to bring home a holiday souvenir check it out.. the tattoo parlour will boast a line of guest artists.
I think Virgin is taking cruising to another level and as the cruise average age is getting lower all the time. These new additions to the cruise industry are going to bring down the age range.
